Abstract

Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) is an essential technique in modern manufacturing. However, a fundamental gap exists: while physical phenomena—such as fluid flow, structural deformation, and heat fields—are continuous, computers can only process discrete data. This LT explains the mathematical methods used to discretize Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) and Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs). I will also demonstrate examples of these in action.
