Abstract

I describe my transition from growing up in Japan with no English background and a dislike of high‑school programming to studying computer science, which is said one of the most competitive major, in the U.S. I introduce American curricula, highlight student support such as office hours and tutoring, and offer brief tips for international students who are considering studying science in overseas programs.
