Abstract

The resting potential is a fundamental electrical property of neurons. It is generated by the equilibrium between two primary driving forces, ion concentration gradients and electrical drift. This presentation discusses these mechanisms from the perspectives of both neuroscience and physics.

Let's talk about physics! We hold LTs (Lightning Talks) hosted by group members about once every two weeks. Feel free to join us, and enjoy the meetings! There's absolutely no need to worry about not knowing anyone of the existing members. We wish you a fruitful exchange. Field: Physics, Chemistry, Geophysics & Biophysics Expected Level: University (Bachelor) student level Time: For 30 min from 14:00 UTC (6:00 PST, 9:00 EST, 15:00 CET, 23:00 JST) on Saturday Timetable: 15～25 min for talk, 5～15 min for Q&A. Language: English 【Short description in Japanese】 さめさん主催のVRChat物理学集会の国際版・上級者向けの集会です．使用言語は英語のみで，大学学部(理学・工学)程度を前提レベルとしています．LTでは遠慮なく数式が使えます(出てきます)．もちろんメンバーの中には日本語が分からない方もたくさんいます． 英語の発表を練習したい物理学系の方歓迎です！
